Frequently Asked Questions

What is Skills-IL?
Skills-IL is the Israeli directory of AI agent skills and MCP servers. It brings together everything Israeli developers and professionals need to supercharge their AI tools: Hebrew language skills, tax and accounting automation, government API integrations, and much more. Every item in the directory is open source, security-scanned, and free.
What is a skill?
A skill is a set of instructions that turns a general AI agent into a specialist for a specific domain. Think of it this way: ChatGPT knows how to write, but with an Israeli accountant skill it can generate invoices that comply with Israel Tax Authority regulations. Same tool, different expertise.
Do I need to be a developer?
No. Most skills on the site are built for everyone: accountants, lawyers, business owners, freelancers. You can install with a single command line, or simply download a ZIP file and upload it manually. No code, no terminal required.
How do I know a skill is safe?
Every skill goes through automated security scanning before it appears on the site: vulnerability detection, license checks, GitHub maintenance analysis, and a 15-signal GitHub Verification scorecard (spec compliance, secret scanning, code scanning, signed release, SPDX license). Skills that pass all five critical signals get a green Verified ✓ badge. The trust score and full instructions are visible on every skill page, so you can read everything before installing. How do I pick the right skill?
The homepage has cards organized by domain (taxes, law, marketing, dev tools and more) that lead directly to relevant skills. There's also a step-by-step beginner guide that walks you through installing your first skill. You can also filter by category or search freely.
Which AI agents does this work with?
Each skill page lists which agents it supports: Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Windsurf and more. You can also filter skills by agent.
Can I submit a skill I built?
Absolutely. There's a submission page on the site: you can propose a new skill idea, connect an existing GitHub repo, or open a PR directly to the relevant category. Go to submission page
How much does it cost?
Nothing. The site, the skills, and the code are all open source and free.
What is MCP?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard created by Anthropic that lets AI agents connect to external data sources and tools. While a skill teaches the agent what to do, an MCP server gives it access to live data: government APIs, financial systems, databases and more. The site includes a directory of ready-to-use Israeli MCP servers. Browse MCP servers
