Terms of Service | Skills IL

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, or using Skills IL ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you must immediately stop using the Platform. We may update these Terms at any time by posting the revised version on this page. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Nature of the Service

Skills IL is a directory of AI agent skills and MCP servers ("Listed Tools"). Some Listed Tools are developed and maintained by Skills IL under the skills-il GitHub organization ("First-Party Tools"), while others are submitted by independent third-party developers ("Third-Party Tools"). Third-Party Tools are created and maintained by their respective authors, who bear sole responsibility for their content, functionality, and safety. While we develop and maintain First-Party Tools to the best of our ability, all Listed Tools (including First-Party Tools) are open-source software provided without guarantees. Our primary role is providing a discovery platform with community-driven trust scores, security assessments, and reviews. The inclusion of any tool on this Platform does not constitute a guarantee of safety, security, or fitness for any particular purpose.

3. AI Features: Try Skill and Skill Generator

The Platform offers two AI-powered features. (a) "Try Skill" is an interactive chatbot that lets you test a published skill (or a bundle of skills) in a demo environment. Your messages and the bot's replies are processed by a third-party AI service that runs the underlying language model, and the bot may issue web search queries on your behalf to gather live information. Guest conversations are kept in temporary cache for up to 24 hours and then deleted; signed-in users' conversations are stored until you delete them from the /chats page or start a new chat. Conversations are protected by HTTPS and admin-only access controls but are not end-to-end encrypted. Daily message quotas apply: 3 messages per day for guests, 10 per day for free signed-in users, and higher limits for paid tiers. (b) "Skill Generator" (the /create page) lets you produce a draft SKILL.md file from a natural-language description, grounded on the Skills IL catalog where possible via retrieval-augmented generation. Your description and the generated output are sent to third-party AI providers, processed under those providers' respective terms, and retained by Skills IL for up to 90 days for abuse prevention and quality monitoring. They are not used to train AI models. You acknowledge that: (a) outputs from both features are produced by language models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading; (b) neither feature provides professional, legal, financial, medical, or tax advice; (c) you should not share or paste passwords, API keys, ID numbers, account details, or other sensitive personal or third-party data; (d) Skills IL makes no guarantees about the accuracy, reliability, or availability of either feature; and (e) usage quotas, rate limits, or refusal of abusive prompts may apply. Anonymous feedback you provide may be collected to improve the service.

4. AI Mode (Conversational Search)

AI Mode is a third AI service, distinct from "Try Skill" and the Skill Generator. It lets you ask a question in natural language and receive recommended skills, MCPs, or bundles from the catalog. Your questions are sent to our LLM provider (Google Gemini) which processes them. Conversation context lives in ephemeral memory (Redis) for 30 minutes only, capped at 10 turns per session, then discarded. We do not store the content of your questions or responses. Separate daily quotas apply: 3 messages/day for guests and 10/day for signed-in users, independent from the Try Skill quota. You acknowledge that: (a) recommendations are produced by a language model and may be inaccurate or incomplete; (b) the service does not constitute professional, legal, financial, medical, or tax advice; (c) you must not paste passwords, API keys, ID numbers, account numbers, or any sensitive personal or third-party information; (d) Skills IL does not warrant accuracy, reliability, or availability; (e) usage quotas, rate limits, or refusal to handle abusive requests may apply.

5. Third-Party Tools and Content

Listed Tools are open-source software. Skills published on the Platform may undergo automated checks and review prior to publication, which may include static analysis of permissions and data handling patterns, third-party security scanning, and human review. We do not guarantee that any specific check is performed on any particular tool, and our review processes may change without notice. AI agent skills and MCP servers may have access to your file system, terminal, network, and other system resources. No security review process can guarantee the absence of all vulnerabilities or malicious behavior. You are solely responsible for reviewing the permissions, source code, and behavior of any tool before installing or using it. Skills IL makes no representations or guarantees about the absolute safety or security of any Listed Tool.

6. Risk Acknowledgment

You acknowledge and agree that: (a) AI agent skills and MCP servers execute code on your system and may have broad access to your files, terminal, and network; (b) installing and using Listed Tools carries inherent risks, including but not limited to data loss, data exposure, system damage, security vulnerabilities, and unintended actions; (c) trust scores, security assessments, and community reviews on the Platform are informational only and do not constitute a guarantee of safety or fitness; (d) you are solely responsible for evaluating the suitability and safety of any Listed Tool for your use case; and (e) you assume all risk associated with the installation, configuration, and use of any Listed Tool discovered through this Platform. (f) AI-generated skills produced via the Skill Generator are model output, may contain factual errors or steps that don't match your specific tools, and must be reviewed before installation.

7. User Responsibilities

You agree to: provide accurate information when submitting skills or reviews; not submit malicious, harmful, or deceptive code; not misrepresent the functionality or safety of any submitted tool; respect the intellectual property of other developers; perform your own security review before installing any Listed Tool; and comply with all applicable Israeli and international laws. You also agree: not to paste passwords, API keys, ID numbers, account details, or real document contents into the Skill Generator input; and not to request, via the Skill Generator, skills that would violate Israeli law, scrape protected systems, or facilitate fraud, harassment, or harm.

8. Prohibited Misuse

You must not disrupt the Platform's operation, bypass its protections, or access it through any means other than the public interfaces we provide (the website, our REST API, our MCP server, or the official CLI package). This includes, without limitation: denial-of-service attempts, vulnerability probing without prior coordination, automated scraping at rates exceeding what robots.txt or our published API rate limits permit, and using another user's account or API key without authorization. Violations may constitute unauthorized access under section 4 of Israel's Computer Law, 5755-1995. Skills IL may suspend access and revoke API keys, OAuth connections, or accounts of users who violate this section or whom we reasonably suspect of doing so.

9. Account Security and Credentials

You are solely responsible for keeping your password, API keys (sk-il_...), OAuth tokens, and any other access credentials confidential. Do not share credentials with anyone, including Skills IL support staff (we will never ask for your password). If you suspect that someone has gained access to your account or API key, or that activity occurred which you did not perform, notify us immediately at security@agentskills.co.il and rotate your keys and tokens from the /keys page. Skills IL is not liable for actions performed using your account or API key before you reported the suspected compromise.

10. Skill Submitter Obligations

If you submit a skill or MCP server to the Platform, you represent and warrant that: (a) you have the legal right to submit the tool and its content; (b) the tool does not infringe any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or other rights; (c) the tool does not contain malicious code, backdoors, or intentionally harmful functionality; (d) the description and metadata you provide are accurate and not misleading; and (e) you will maintain the tool and respond to security reports in a timely manner. Skills IL reserves the right to remove any submitted tool at any time, for any reason, without prior notice.

11. Intellectual Property and Restrictions on Use

Skills IL has two distinct layers of intellectual property. (1) Individual skills: the SKILL.md, SKILL_HE.md, metadata.json, scripts, and reference files inside each category repository (such as skills-il/tax-and-finance) are open-source under the MIT license (or whichever license each skill's author chose), and may be forked, copied, modified, and redistributed under those terms. (2) The directory itself: the selection, arrangement, categorization, ranking, curation, Hebrew translations, and enriched content we author (problem statements, when-to-apply guidance, best-practice lists, example prompts, FAQ entries, trust scores, security assessments, and the bundles that group skills together) form an original compilation work under section 4 of Israel's Copyright Law, 5768-2007, and are the exclusive property of YooTech. The Skills IL platform itself, including its design, branding, trust scoring algorithms, security review pipeline, user interface, source code (except files explicitly marked open-source), and all other original content on this website, is also the exclusive property of YooTech and is protected by Israeli and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. You may not, without prior written consent from YooTech: (a) copy, reproduce, mirror, or redistribute the directory or any substantial part of its selection, arrangement, or enriched content, even if you credit the individual skills' MIT licenses; (b) clone, fork, or otherwise create a directory that is substantially similar to Skills IL using our curated metadata, descriptions, scoring, categorization, or bundle composition; (c) use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or crawlers to extract or collect data from the Platform, except as expressly permitted by our robots.txt or our published API rate limits; (d) create derivative works based on the Platform's content, design, or functionality; (e) frame, embed, or display the Platform or its content within another website or application; (f) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform's proprietary technology, including trust scoring algorithms; or (g) use any Platform content for commercial purposes or for training AI or machine learning models without explicit authorization. User-submitted reviews and content are licensed under CC BY 4.0. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use the Skills IL or YooTech name, logo, or branding. Unauthorized use of any Platform content may result in legal action under applicable Israeli and international law. Skill Generator output (the SKILL.md file produced from your description) is yours to use under the MIT license stated in the file's frontmatter. Skills IL makes no claim of authorship over generated skills, but retains the input description and generated output for the period stated in section 3.

12. Links to External Sites

The Platform contains many links to third-party websites, repositories, packages, and services, including GitHub, npm, PyPI, developer homepages, and government sites. These links are provided for your convenience only. They do not constitute an endorsement, sponsorship, approval, or affiliation by Skills IL of the linked sites, their content, their products, or their operators. We have no control over external content and it may change at any time. We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, safety, or availability of any external content, and your use of it is governed by that site's own terms and privacy policy. If you encounter a broken link or a linked site that you believe is inappropriate, please notify us at legal@agentskills.co.il.

13. Service Notices and Operational Communications

By registering for the Platform and providing an email address or phone number, you agree that we may use your contact details to send operational messages, including: registration confirmations and password resets, security alerts, status updates on skills and MCP servers you submitted, replies to inquiries you initiated, notifications about usage quotas or billing, and material changes to these Terms or our Privacy Policy. These messages are necessary for the operation of the service and do not constitute commercial advertisement ("davar pirsomet") under section 30A of Israel's Communications Law (Telecommunications and Broadcasting), 5742-1982. Marketing communications (newsletter and product updates) are sent only with your explicit consent and can be unsubscribed at any time via the link in every email or from the /profile page.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM AND ALL LISTED TOOLS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SKILLS IL AND YOOTECH DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND SECURITY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT: (A) THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE; (B) LISTED TOOLS WILL BE SAFE, SECURE, OR FREE FROM BUGS; (C) TRUST SCORES OR SECURITY ASSESSMENTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE; OR (D) ANY LISTED TOOL WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR EXPECTATIONS.

15. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SKILLS IL, YOOTECH, OR THEIR DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, SYSTEM DAMAGE, SECURITY BREACHES, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM OR ANY LISTED TOOL, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED 1,000 ILS (ONE THOUSAND ISRAELI NEW SHEKELS), OR THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Skills IL, YooTech, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Platform or any Listed Tool; (b) any tool you submit to the Platform; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any third-party rights.

17. Content Removal and Takedown

Skills IL reserves the right to remove any Listed Tool, review, or user-generated content at any time, for any reason, without prior notice or liability. If you believe that content on the Platform infringes your intellectual property rights, please send a notice to legal@agentskills.co.il containing: (a) identification of the copyrighted work or other right claimed to be infringed; (b) the URL or other reasonably specific location of the allegedly infringing content; (c) your full contact information (name, address, phone, email); (d) a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent, or applicable law; (e) a statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the rights holder; and (f) your physical or electronic signature. We aim to review valid notices within 14 business days. The party whose content was removed may submit a counter-notice to legal@agentskills.co.il containing equivalent information and a statement of good-faith belief that the content was removed in error. We may, at our sole discretion, restore content if a valid counter-notice is received and no court action is filed within a reasonable period. Repeat infringers may have their submissions and accounts terminated.

18. Modifications to the Service

Skills IL reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Platform (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Platform. Where reasonably practical, we will endeavor to provide skill and MCP submitters with advance notice of material changes affecting the availability of their submissions on the Platform, but no specific notice period is guaranteed.

19. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Israel. You consent to personal jurisdiction in these courts and waive any objections to venue. If you access or use the Platform from outside Israel, you do so at your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws. By using the Platform, users located outside Israel expressly consent to the application of Israeli law and to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tel Aviv-Jaffa courts for any dispute, regardless of the laws of their country of residence.

20. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
